I'm moving my blog over to I'll be keeping this blog up as you see it right now, but will not be posting on it anymore!

I would appreciate it if you would update any links you might have.

Thank you!

She still likes to bake.....

My apologies for not posting in so long.....
hopefully new posts will be more frequent in coming.

.....and now she (Abigail) supplies me with an endless list of questions:

"Hannah, is that a nice thing to eat?" (Yes, of course it is, why would I bake anything else?)

"What are you making?" (The same thing I was making last time you asked!)

"Is that yummy? Can I taste it?" (No, that's baking soda and you do not really want to taste it)

"Are you still making _____?" (Yes, you just asked me that 90 seconds ago and I don't bake _____ quite that fast.)

"Can I pour that in?" (Yes, after I measure it for you. Salt is not something you can just pour in.)

And of course, she still loves to "holp" by using a smaller size wooden spoon to stir or cracking eggs into a bowl. Her favorite part is taste-testing. (of course) And she also loves to, as always, giggle in delight with her tongue sticking out whenever I answer one of he questions. (no matter what the answer is)

At the rate she's going, she's going to take over my job one of these days.

I hope that means I will get to be the taste-tester then. :)

On gun control

(Copied off of Jessica's blog)

"Those who hammer their guns into plowshares will plow for those who do not." -Thomas Jefferson

1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
3.Colt: The original point and click interface.
4. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords?
6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
7. Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.
8. If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.
9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.
10. The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights Reserved.
11. What part of 'shall not be infringed' do you not understand?
12. The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.
13. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
14. Guns only have two enemies; rust and politicians.
15. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.
16. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.
17. 911: Government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer.
18. Assault is a behavior, not a device.
19. Criminals love gun control; it makes their jobs safer.
20. If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.
21. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.
22. You have only the rights you are willing to fight for.
23. Enforce the gun control laws we ALREADY have; don't make more.
24. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.
25. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.

A new holiday????

Abigail has proposed a new "day".

Merry Chocolate day.

Sounds good to me - I can't imagine objecting to that sort of a day.

What if.....

What if,

  • Due to your gender

  • Because of your color

  • Due to your parents social standing

  • Because you were an embarrassment to some

  • Because of a lack of money

  • Because you were too many years younger than your siblings.....

Someone decided to murder you.

And what if that person was:

Your Mother.

And/or your Father.

And what if the media, and many other normal Americans also believed this. Including Christians.

And what if they justified this by saying that people your age were not really humans.

The reasons above are only a small list of reasons why thousands of humans are being brutally murdered. Every. Single. Day.

Not to you, but to thousands of other humans.

Humans who, unlike you have no ways of defending themselves.

People who, unlike popular belief, can feel pain. People who have incredibly developed bodies.
Who are created in the image of God.

When shown photos of (unborn) babies that are a mere 6 or 7 wks. old, my 2 year old sister, Abigail, got excited about the babies.

Babies are being murdered.

God have mercy on America.

Tagged........... Rebecca

A book I read: Hmmmm.......I could list quite a few. Do Hard Things & So much more (SMM was a reread, though)

A moment I'll always remember......learning about the fact that a new baby brother or sister was going to enter our family. :)

A new skill I acquired: well, I re-taught myself knitting. And I learned some more advanced crochet.

A movie I watched: Flywheel

And Expelled

A new place I visited this year: Can't think of anything right now, but if I do I'll edit this post to add it. :)

Here are the rules:

I know that you have already been given this award (more than once!), but I have to give it to you again!

Gene Robinson's "prayer" kicks off Obama's Inaugural Events at the "We are one" concert.

This "prayer" starts with "To the god of our many understandings...." and from there on it only gets worse. Not only are his words enough to send shivers down the spines of anyone who loves America and fears Yahweh, but he is also a sodomite.

Yahweh preserve America.

He smiles

(Sorry for the blurred-ness)

He Smiles.

He Yawns.

He Sleeps.

He sits. And thinks.

'09 Resolutions Tag

I've been tagged by Stephen this time, and am supposed to give a list of 10 things I wish to accomplish this year.

(note - there is no real order for this list)
  1. To grow ever closer to my Lord and Savior, Jesus, and to glorify Him in all that I do.
  2. To read through the Bible
  3. To become closer to my siblings
  4. To, after I get it, learn how to play my harp.
  5. To become more proficient in my sewing skills
  6. To finish some of the projects which I seem to have a wonderful talent for starting and never completing.
  7. To be more patient.
  8. To learn Hebrew.
  9. To learn more about herbs and how to use them.
  10. To start up painting again.

Due to the amount of times I have been tagged these past few months, I have decided to take a break and not to do anymore tags/memes till February.
